Steps to Justice has created a resource page for the different programs that the Government of Canada creates, from time to time, for temporary immigration programs for people in a specific country or region that’s in crisis. The government does this to help people when, for example, the place they are from is:
- at war,
- dealing with violence and unrest, or
- dealing with a natural disaster like an earthquake or famine.
Current programs:
- Refugees from all countries: Economic Mobility Pathways Pilot
- Gaza
- Haiti
- Hong Kong
- Iran
- Israeli nationals and Palestinian passport holders
- Lebanon
- Sudan
- Ukraine
- Yazidis and survivors of Daesh in Iraq
